Lawson Wins Again in Printing United 2020 Product of the Year Awards Competition

Lawson Screen & Digital Products -- St. Louis, MO -- is proud to announce it has won the prestigious Printing United (formerly SGIA) Product of the Year Award for 2020. The Lawson Digi-Star Elite conveyor dryer was recognized as the Best Screen Printing Conveyor Dryer.

Lawson beat out more than 200 entries across all categories to claim its victory over one of the largest field of competitors in the awards program’s history, that included the best of screen printing and direct-to-garment (DTG) machines and equipment.

With this award, Lawson further advances its achievement of being a multi Product of the Year Award winner. “We are honored by Printing United recognizing the Lawson Digi-Star Elite Conveyor dryer as the industry’s best and most advanced conveyor dryer,” says Taylor Landesman, Vice-President of Lawson Screen & Digital Products. “The Lawson Digi-Star Elite is a pioneer of ‘smart curing’ technology for both Screen Printing and direct-to-garment (DTG). We are already seeing wide adoption of the Digi-Star Elite in print shops big and small, and among traditional analog screen printing and DTG.”

The Digi-Star Elite features a large, information-rich color touch screen control panel. Program virtually unlimited amount of recipes or job settings. No matter whether you are drying plastisol, water-based, discharge or DTG ink, effortlessly switch between drying different inks and different garments with the touch of a button. The WiFi enabled control panel allows the Production Manager and Owner(s) to monitor, and even change, dryer settings remotely.

With true state-of-the-art SCR heating panels, the Digi-Star Elite is the only conveyor drying tunnel that regulates the incoming electrical current and voltage for absolute temperature control. By using an SCR control system, the Digi-Star Elite dryer saves a minimum of 25% on your electricity bill.

Lawson uses its proprietary infrared (IR) heating panels to produce a vortex of hot air. Operators can regulate the percentage of re-circulated air versus “new” air within the chamber. This creates one of the most efficient and effective heat chambers for curing plastisol screen printing ink and drying digital and water-based inks.

Recently, Lawson Screen & Digital Products won the Product of the Year Award for their Ajax-R Automatic Screen Reclaiming System, Lock-n-Go Screen Registration System, Proton Manual Screen Printing Press, and was a finalist with the Zoom-AE Pre-Treat Sprayer and Ajax-D Automatic Screen Developer.
