Description

The Lawson Roto Coat is a USA-made emulsion coating system designed to simplify and standardize pre-press screen prep for screen printers. By securely mounting screen printing frames, the Roto Coat enables smooth, two-handed scoop coater application for uniform Emulsion Over Mesh (EOM) thickness. Its innovative rotating design allows operators to spin the screen and coat both sides effortlessly, optimizing exposure latitude for sharp halftones, crisp detail, and clean stencil release.

The LWG Difference

  • USA-Made Quality & Construction: Engineered and manufactured in the USA for long-lasting structural rigidity and darkroom reliability.
  • Innovative Rotating Design: Smooth-pivoting frame holding system allows rapid two-sided coating without taking the screen out of the clamp.
  • Ergonomic Two-Handed Coating: Clamps screen frames securely so operators can apply emulsion with both hands for balanced pressure and even coats.
  • Direct Factory Backup & Support: Backed directly by LWG with expert pre-press technical support, factory warranty coverage, and nationwide parts delivery.

Features

  • Smooth Rotating Screen Clamp: Pivots 180 degrees to easily coat both the shirt side and squeegee side of the screen.
  • Uniform Emulsion Application: Delivers consistent EOM thickness to eliminate pinholes and improve exposure times.
  • Standard Frame Size Compatibility: Fits standard textile screen sizes including 20" x 24", 20" x 28", and 23" x 31" (custom sizes available upon request).
  • Versatile Mounting Options: Standard unit mounts directly to any wall or bench top to maximize shop floor space.
  • Optional Floor Stand & Casters: Compatible with an optional leg kit/floor stand or mobile floor stand with wheels for portable darkroom workflows.
