DTF Cost Estimator & Printer Selection Guide
Find a DTF Printer for Your Workload
Build your artwork job, preview its layout, and compare estimated consumables and printing time.
1. Build your artwork job
Upload artwork or enter dimensions. Source images stay in this session.
2. Compare all printers
Costs are consumables per job. Weekly projections repeat whole artwork jobs against your weekly transfer target; they do not select printer suggestions. Product links open in a new tab. Scroll horizontally to see all columns.

Runtime excludes setup, cleaning, curing bottlenecks, and interruptions. Consumables exclude labor, equipment cost, maintenance, electricity, financing, spoilage, and additional film-feed allowances. Speed modes may differ in quality and resolution.
Find printer options for your weekly volume Suggestions use your weekly transfer target—not uploaded artwork or available printing hours.
1. Your weekly workload
Default: 500 transfers per week, with Prestige XL2 shown first. Change the target to explore other volume tiers.
Printer suggestions are independent of your artwork job. The separate comparison table can still project whole artwork jobs against this weekly target.
Image files are not saved. Restored artwork appears as dimension-only entries until its images are replaced.
2. Options to discuss
Suggestions follow Lawson’s weekly-volume tiers—not verified maximum capacities or price rankings. Speeds and schedule guides are supplied planning data, not hours required for your target or duty-cycle limits. Confirm package pricing, print mode, artwork compatibility, and actual output.
3. How estimates and artwork tools work
- Ink and powder use artwork bounding-box area, including transparent regions inside those boxes—not unused sheet space.
- Shared ink rates do not model measured differences between ink systems. Film values are placeholders until replaced by Lawson.
- Print speed divided by reference width approximates linear feed. Calibrate against actual production, especially on narrow media.
- Effective DPI is based on original pixel dimensions and selected print size. It is not a print-quality certification.
- Resizing to 300 DPI can smooth enlargement but does not restore missing detail, remove backgrounds, or guarantee sharp printing.
- Transparent-border trimming preserves current artwork scale. It does not remove solid-color backgrounds.
- Background previews are inspection aids—not color-accurate proofs.
4. Your printer planning brief
Nothing is sent automatically. Artwork is not attached to inquiries. ROI inputs are not transferred. PDF saving uses your browser’s print options.
