Description

Accelerate solvent ink curing for cylindrical, curved, and irregular substrates with the Lawson 3-D Hot-Air Jet Dryer. Engineered specifically for commercial screen printing and specialty product decorators in St. Louis, Atlanta, and across North America, this high-performance conveyor dryer utilizes high-velocity air jets to "scrub" solvents off 3-D items like drinkware, cups, bottles, and promotional goods. Delivering uniform heat distribution and high-volume airflow, the 3-D Hot-Air Jet Dryer ensures complete evaporative drying without scorching heat-sensitive substrates.

The LWG Difference

  • Local Fast Pickup & Demo Centers: Collect equipment in as little as 1 hour from corporate distribution hubs in St. Louis, MO (5110 Penrose St) or Atlanta / Marietta, GA (1147 Cobb Industrial Dr).
  • Turnkey On-Site Technician Installation: Professional domestic technician support available for assembly, calibration, and hands-on team instruction.
  • Comprehensive In-House Support: Direct access to factory-trained technicians and ongoing technical support across the Midwest and Southeast.
  • Flexible Financing Solutions: Accessible capital preservation through customizable commercial financing and low monthly payment plans tailored for growing print businesses.

Features

  • High-Velocity Air "Scrubbing": Specially designed jet nozzles blast high-volume heated air directly across curved surfaces, rapidly removing solvent vapors to ensure complete ink curing.
  • Optimized for 3-D & Curved Objects: Tailored belt and chamber clearances easily accommodate tall items such as cups, water bottles, squeeze bottles, and specialty containers.
  • Precision Temperature & Speed Controls: Variable belt speed and digital heat controls allow operators to dial in exact dwell times for heat-sensitive plastics, metals, and glass.
  • Recirculating Air System: Maximizes energy efficiency by continuously reheating and recirculated air while exhausting solvent fumes safely.
  • Industrial Heavy-Duty Build: Built with heavy-gauge steel and continuous-duty blowers for reliable 24/7 industrial production runs.

Questions & Answers

Why do I need a 3-D Hot-Air Jet Dryer instead of a standard UV dryer?

Solvent-based inks require high-velocity heated air to evaporate solvents off the substrate, whereas UV inks rely on ultraviolet light radiation to initiate instant photo-curing. The hot-air jet system is engineered specifically for evaporative solvent inks used on glassware, plastic drinkware, and metal containers.

How does the high-velocity air jet system work?

The dryer directs targeted jets of heated air over the surface of the printed item. This continuous "scrubbing" action breaks the static boundary layer of solvent fumes surrounding the object, allowing fresh heated air to evaporate the remaining solvent much faster than static heat chambers.

Can this dryer accommodate tall bottles and drinkware?

Yes. Unlike standard flat graphic dryers designed for paper or board stock, the 3-D Hot-Air Jet Dryer features an expanded vertical chamber clearance to easily pass tall cups, water bottles, and promotional containers through the heating tunnel.

Can the belt speed and heat settings be adjusted for heat-sensitive plastics?

Yes. Digital temperature controllers and variable belt speed drives let you precisely fine-tune heat output and tunnel dwell time to safely process heat-sensitive materials like polypropylene and polyethylene without warping or distortion.
