Can this platen decorate both the top and bottom of a cap bill?

Yes! The Hotronix Hat Bill Platen is fully reversible in operation. You can position the cap to decorate either the top surface or the underside of the bill, allowing you to add highly profitable accent graphics, custom text, or brand logos to sports caps and streetwear fashion hats.

Which heat press models are compatible with this accessory?

This platen is engineered to fit seamlessly onto standard Hotronix® Fusion IQ, Air Fusion™ IQ, and Dual Air Fusion™ IQ heat presses. It is also compatible with Hotronix Hover, Auto Clam, and MAXX® Clam presses featuring a born-on date of 2014 or later (Note: it is not compatible with compact 11" x 15" clamshell presses).

How big are the placement zones on this multi-cap platen?

The overall dimensions of the platen are 15" x 15" x 4". It features four distinct, protruding lanes where each independent appendage measures 5", allowing you to load, align, and press four separate hat bills simultaneously to maximize your hourly production throughput.

Featuring a master 15" x 15" x 4" footprint equipped with four dedicated placement tracks, this heavy-duty aluminum workspace allows you to print up to four caps at the exact same time.

The defining advantage of the Hotronix Hat Bill Platen is its ability to lay curved bills completely flat under direct heat. By sliding cap brims onto the individual 5" appendages, the main structural crown of the hat safely drops below the press line, isolating the bill and protecting the rest of the headwear from heat damage or distortion. This layout provides an incredibly stable surface for applying DTF transfers, screen printed transfers, heat transfer vinyl (HTV), rhinestone designs, and sublimation.
