Questions & Answers

Where can I buy or pick up Hotronix Heat Press Shirt Platens locally?

You can securely order online and choose convenient local pickup at either the Lawson Screen & Digital Products corporate headquarters in St. Louis, MO (Penrose Street) or our Atlanta area branch in Marietta, GA (Cobb Industrial Drive). Local pickup can also be coordinated through our satellite offices in Phoenix, Orlando, and Des Moines.

What are the different sizes used for in apparel production?

Each quick-change platen is mathematically scaled for distinct garment decorations:

  • 6" x 10" Shortstop: Perfect for creating custom left-chest logos without hitting armhole seams or buttons.
  • 8" x 10" Tote Master: Slides cleanly inside tote bags and polypropylene shopping bags for efficient double-sided printing.
  • 11" x 15" MVP: The "Most Valuable Platen" optimized for small youth, toddler, and women's sized garments.
  • 7" Round Bagger: Ideal for personalizing the ends of duffel bags, gym bags, and backpacks.
  • 4" x 4": Isolates tiny print surfaces such as pockets, socks, or baby onesies.

How does the Double Sleeve/Leg Platen improve shop throughput?

The Double Sleeve/Leg Platen features a specialized three-appendage layout on a 16" x 20" frame. The two outer appendages measure 13.5" x 3.625" while the center track measures 13.5" x 4.25". This allows a single operator to load and heat press both long sleeves (or pant legs) and the collar area of a garment at the exact same time, cutting labor cycles in half.

Which Hotronix machine styles are these platens compatible with?

These interchangeable lower beds are manufactured in variants to fit the entire Hotronix ecosystem. When ordering, you can specify configurations tailored perfectly for Hotronix Fusion IQ, Hotronix Auto Open Clamshell, and MAXX® Clam models.

Can I finance my custom apparel equipment and accessories through Lawson?

Yes! If you are batch-ordering a set of 3 platens, custom transfer sheets, or upgrading to large-format digital print machinery, commercial equipment financing options are available to protect your liquid capital. You can submit an application quickly and securely via our Lawson financing page.

  • DESCRIPTION

Are you struggling to print on challenging garments due to bulky seams, thick zippers, heavy buttons, or awkward collar shapes? Hotronix Heat Press Shirt Platens by Stahls' Hotronix are the ultimate commercial-grade solutions for expanding your custom apparel production. Available in an extensive range of specialized sizes and shapes—including the 6" x 10" Shortstop, 8" x 10" Tote Master, 11" x 15" MVP, 7" Round Bagger, and the high-productivity Double Sleeve/Leg platen—these interchangeable beds eliminate pressure imbalances to guarantee flawless transfer adhesion.

The defining advantage of these interchangeable heat press platens is their ability to isolate the specific decoration zone away from structural garment obstructions. For instance, the Double Sleeve/Leg Platen is engineered to double your production speeds by curing two sleeves or pant legs simultaneously, while also offering a center track to press shirt collars in a single cycle. Built from heavy-duty aluminum, these platens are highly optimized for applying DTF transfers, screen printed transfers, heat transfer vinyl (HTV), and sublimation.

By dropping problematic seams below the press line, you achieve flat, consistent, edge-to-edge pressure distribution every time—preventing cold spots and completely eliminating expensive ruined inventory.
