Lawson Workhorse High-Performance Screen Printing Platen Rubber (Heat-Resistant)
Upgrade your manual or automatic press platens with Lawson’s industrial-grade pallet rubber. Engineered specifically for the rigors of high-volume textile printing, this nitrile rubber sheet provides a resilient, heat-resistant surface that ensures your garments remain flat and secure throughout the entire print cycle.
While bare aluminum platens can reflect heat unevenly, our 1/8" thick platen rubber (standard 20" width) acts as a critical thermal barrier. This superior heat dissipation prevents pallet warping and protects your adhesive from "cooking," allowing for faster flashing and more consistent plastisol ink brilliance on every pass.
Why Professionals Choose Lawson Platen Rubber:
- Superior Print Surface: Provides the perfect amount of "give" for the squeegee, resulting in better ink penetration and sharper halftones.
- Heat Management: Absorbs and distributes heat evenly, reducing "hot spots" during flash curing that can lead to scorching or uneven ink gelation.
- Universal Compatibility: Sold by the foot, this 20-inch wide rubber can be easily trimmed to fit any standard or oversized pallet.
- Durability: High-grade nitrile construction resists chemicals and solvents, ensuring a long life on your press without swelling or degrading.
Pro-Tip: Professional Installation
For a permanent, bubble-free bond, we recommend using 3M 1357 High-Performance Platen Adhesive.
- Prep: Clean your aluminum or wood pallet thoroughly to remove old lint and adhesive. Remove old rubber, if replacing.
- Apply: Spread a thin, even coat of 3M 1357 on both the pallet and the back of the rubber.
- Bond: Apply the rubber starting from one edge, using a brayer or roller to eliminate air pockets.
- Trim: Use a sharp utility knife to trim the excess rubber flush with the pallet edge for a clean, professional finish.
