An invaluable tool for determining mesh threads per inch and halftone counts. Place your screen on a light table, and the finely spaced lines create a moiré pattern that indicates the mesh count. For example, a 300-mesh screen may display a pattern at 150 or 100. Mesh count is one of the most frequently adjusted screen parameters, as it predictably affects ink deposit and flow, making this tool essential in the screen room or on press.
It can also be used on halftone films to determine if the LPI is correct.
