Questions & Answers

What type of screen printing ink is Process Magenta DI-501?
Process Magenta DI-501 is a low-cure Dynamic plastisol screen printing ink designed as a process magenta color, offering semi-opaque coverage and fair to good bleed resistance on polyester, 50/50 blends, and other fabrics.

What fabrics is this ink best suited for?
This ink can be used on a wide variety of garments, including polyester, blends, and cotton; always pretest to confirm suitability and print parameters before going into full production.

What are the recommended flash and cure temperatures?
Flash Process Magenta DI-501 at approximately 220°F for 3–5 seconds and fully cure at 270–280°F to achieve optimal adhesion, durability, and low-cure performance.

Is this ink press-ready and safe to use?
Yes. Dynamic inks are non-phthalate and lead-free, with a creamy, press-ready consistency straight from the bucket, so you can print smoothly without heavy modification in most setups.

Can I use this ink for print-flash-print and wet-on-wet?
Absolutely. Process Magenta DI-501 flashes quickly for print-flash-print over a white underbase, and it can also be run wet-on-wet depending on mesh counts, artwork, and your press configuration—always pretest your process first.

How do I clean up after printing with this ink?
Use a press wash for on-press color changes and an ink degradant for ink removal when reclaiming screens; you can either save the stencil or fully reclaim the frame as part of your standard reclaim procedure.

Do you offer local pickup in St. Louis, MO and Marietta, GA?
Yes. Process Magenta DI-501 is available for pickup at our St. Louis, MO headquarters and our Marietta, GA Atlanta-area office, where orders are usually ready in about one hour, in addition to convenient nationwide shipping options.

How should I store this ink for best results?
Store the ink at room temperature, below 95°F, away from extreme heat and direct sunlight, and use within one year of the manufacturing date for consistent printing performance.

  • DESCRIPTION

Dynamic Ink Process Magenta DI-501 is a premier low-cure plastisol screen printing ink that delivers semi-opaque process magenta coverage with fair to good bleed resistance on polyester, 50/50 blends, and other fabrics. Curing at just 270–280°F, this low-bleed ink helps minimize dye migration on challenging “bleeder” garments while maintaining a smooth, soft-hand finish in process color and simulated process jobs. With a semi-gloss look and creamy, press-ready consistency straight from the bucket, Process Magenta DI-501 is ideal for printers who need reliable magenta in a CMYK or process ink set for detailed, full-color designs.

All inks in the Dynamic Series are non-phthalate and lead-free, flashing quickly for efficient print-flash-print or wet-on-wet production over a white underbase. Use any standard direct emulsion or capillary film stencil, enjoy minimal ink build-up on screen, and get excellent mileage—approximately 800–1,750 sq. ft. per gallon—across a wide range of textile substrates. Clean-up is simple with a standard press wash for on-press color changes and an ink degradant when reclaiming screens, so you can save the stencil or fully reclaim the frame depending on your workflow.

Lawson ships Process Magenta DI-501 to screen printers nationwide and offers convenient local pickup at our St. Louis, MO headquarters and Marietta, GA Atlanta-area office, where most orders are ready in about one hour after processing. Whether your shop is in the St. Louis or Atlanta metro areas, or anywhere across the United States, this low-cure process magenta plastisol ink provides the consistency, bleed control, and print quality you need for professional CMYK and process screen printing.
