Commercial UV DTF Printers, Decal Printers & Turnkey Systems
An industrial UV DTF printer enables specialty decorators and sign shops to print vibrant, high-durability 3D transfers and peel-and-stick decals for hard substrates. Unlike standard Direct-to-Film textile printing, UV DTF utilizes instant-curing UV inks, white ink layers, and high-gloss varnish to produce scratch-resistant, water-resistant transfers that adhere directly to glass, metal, stainless steel tumblers, acrylic, wood, and finished leather without requiring heat press application.
Selecting the Best UV DTF Printer for Your Hard Surface Decoration

UV DTF Printing: FAQ
What is the difference between UV DTF and standard DTF printing?
Standard DTF is designed for soft textiles (t-shirts, hoodies) and requires heat press curing. UV DTF is engineered for hard surfaces (glass, stainless steel, acrylic, wood). It uses UV-curable ink with instant light curing and does not require heat for application—you simply peel and stick the transfer onto the item.
Do I need a laminator for UV DTF printing?
Yes. UV DTF is a two-step process where ink is printed onto the release "A" film, followed by applying an adhesive "B" laminating film over top. Production models like the Aries 113 feature an integrated inline laminator to automate this process in one continuous pass.
How durable are UV DTF transfers?
UV DTF transfers are exceptionally durable. They are water-resistant, scratch-resistant, and offer high UV light stability, making them ideal for high-use items like drinkware, water bottles, outdoor signage, and electronics.
What surfaces can I apply UV DTF transfers to?
UV DTF decals adhere strongly to almost any smooth or curved hard substrate, including glass jars, ceramic mugs, stainless steel tumblers, acrylic plaques, metal panels, plastics, finished wood, and leather.
Does Lawson offer training and technical support for UV DTF printers?
Yes. Every UV DTF printer purchased through Lawson Workhorse Group includes comprehensive virtual or in-person training, software calibration support, and direct lifetime technical assistance from our US-based support team.
