Description

Lawson custom-built conveyor dryers provide high-performance, specialized curing solutions engineered for screen printing, 3D hot-air jet drying, shrink wrapping, UV curing, gas, and electric infrared applications. Precision-manufactured in the USA, each unit is tailored to your exact production requirements—whether you need dual-belt configurations, high-velocity hot-air impingement for solvent inks on 3D containers, shuttle UV curing systems, or ultra-wide belt profiles up to 188 inches. Designed with heavy-duty thermal insulation, energy-efficient airflow controls, and digital temperature tracking up to 500°F+, Lawson custom conveyor dryers deliver uniform heat distribution, fast belt speeds, and long-term operating reliability for graphic, textile, industrial, and specialized print shops.

The LWG Difference

  • Tailored Engineering: Designed and built to your exact belt width, chamber length, heating technology (gas, IR, UV, or hot-air jet), and layout specs.
  • American Manufacturing Heritage: Handcrafted in the USA by Lawson Workhorse Group with full sales, engineering, and quick-ship support operating from St. Louis, MO, and Atlanta, GA (Marietta).
  • Maximum Energy Efficiency: Heavy-duty insulated heat chambers paired with optimized recirculation air systems minimize heat loss and lower monthly utility costs.
  • Versatile Curing Capabilities: Capable of handling screen printing inks, DTF, water-based, solvent-based, UV clear coats, and specialized industrial substrate curing.

Features

  • Multi-Heater Compatibility: Configurable with electric infrared elements, natural gas/propane burners, ultra-violet lamps, or high-velocity heated air jets.
  • Precision Airflow Controls: Recirculating and forced-air jet systems break the solvent boundary layer for rapid, complete ink evaporation.
  • Variable Speed Belt Tracking: Smooth, reliable digital drive controls ensure consistent dwell time and tracking across open-mesh PTFE or stainless steel belts.
  • Modular & Scalable Design: Infeed/outfeed extensions, split-belt drives, and retro-fit UV additions allow your equipment to grow alongside production demands.
  • Industrial Safety Standards: Built with zero-gap thermal insulation, air-flow safety switches, and emergency shutoff protection.

Specifications Table

Feature | Specification
Heat Source Options | Electric Infrared, Natural Gas, Propane, High-Velocity Hot-Air, UV
Operating Temperature | Up to 500°F Continuous (Ultra-high-temp custom builds available)
Belt Widths | Custom-built from standard widths up to 188 inches
Chamber Lengths | Modular lengths built to match required production CFM and belt speeds
Belt Types | PTFE Teflon open-mesh fiberglass, wire mesh, or stainless steel
Airflow Systems | High-velocity recirculating heated air with adjustable exhaust dampers
Origin | Made in USA (St. Louis, MO & Atlanta, GA hubs)

Comparison Table

Feature | Lawson Custom Conveyor Dryers | Standard Off-the-Shelf Dryers
Customization | Engineered to exact shop floor dimensions, belt widths, and curing specs | Fixed lengths and narrow belt options with limited footprint flexibility
Airflow & Heat Transfer | High-velocity hot-air jets break solvent boundary layers for faster curing | Basic static heat elements often result in uneven curing or slow belt speeds
Thermal Insulation | Heavy-duty double-wall insulation minimizes energy loss and exterior heat | Thin chamber walls increase electricity/gas usage and shop room temperatures
Future Expansion | Modular extensions, split belts, and retro-fit UV heads can be added later | Rigid construction requires purchasing an entirely new dryer to expand capacity
Factory Support | Direct US engineering, parts, and technician support from St. Louis & Atlanta | Sourced overseas with long lead times for replacement parts and support

Questions & Answers

Q: Can Lawson custom build a dryer for 3D objects like bottles and glass drinkware?
A: Yes. Lawson builds specialized 3D hot-air jet dryers engineered specifically with high-velocity air jets to evaporate solvent inks off glassware, plastic cups, and metal containers.

Q: Is it possible to combine Infrared heat and UV curing in one custom dryer?
A: Yes. Lawson offers hybrid conveyor dryers that feature infrared or hot-air curing zones followed by an integrated UV lamp module for single-pass curing.

Q: How do I determine the right belt width and chamber length for my production line?
A: Required dimensions depend on your hourly substrate volume, ink type, and necessary dwell time. Contact our engineering team at our St. Louis or Atlanta locations via our Contact Page for a custom sizing evaluation.

Q: Are replacement belts and parts readily available for custom Lawson dryers?
A: Yes. All replacement belts, heating elements, motors, and electrical components are stocked and shipped directly from our U.S. manufacturing facilities.
