  • DESCRIPTION
Ensure optimal press room and shop conditions for high-quality printing with the Digital Temperature and Humidity Gauge. Accurate environment control is critical for direct-to-film (DTF), direct-to-garment (DTG), and screen printing processes, preventing ink curing issues, clogged printheads, static buildup, and humidity-induced paper or film warping.

Key Features & Specifications

  • Real-Time Monitoring: Displays time, ambient temperature, and relative humidity simultaneously.

  • Wide Temperature Range: Measures from 14°F to 158°F (-10°C to 70°C) with degree selection (°F/°C).

  • Relative Humidity Range: Tracks 10% RH to 99% RH to keep shop moisture within ideal printing parameters.

  • Min/Max Memory: Stores minimum and maximum humidity and temperature records for hassle-free climate tracking.

  • Versatile Mounting: Compact dimensions (5.1" x 1.2" x 3.9") featuring both a built-in table stand and wall-mounting options.

  • Battery Operated: Powered by standard AAA batteries for flexible placement anywhere in your workspace.

Why Humidity Control Matters for Your Shop

Maintaining proper relative humidity (RH)—ideally between 40% and 60% RH—is essential to protect your equipment and ensure print consistency across all production methods:

  • Direct-to-Film (DTF): Low humidity (< 40% RH) dries out inks inside nozzles, causing printhead clogs, and generates static charge that causes TPU powder to stick where it shouldn't. High humidity (> 60% RH) prevents proper powder absorption and can warp PET films, risking printhead strikes.

  • Direct-to-Garment (DTG): Low humidity leads to premature ink drying on faceplates, misaligned micro-droplets, and uneven pretreatment drying. High humidity causes white and color inks to bleed into one another and slows down heat-press cure times, risking wash-outs.

  • Screen Printing: Low humidity causes water-based inks to dry in the mesh and static dust to cling to screens. High humidity prevents photopolymer emulsion stencils from drying properly—causing pinholes and stencil breakdown—and shifts film registration as paper or film absorbs moisture.
