Questions & Answers

Where can I buy or pick up the Geo Knight HCR Conductive Pad locally?

You can securely place your order online and choose convenient local pickup at either the Lawson Screen & Digital Products corporate headquarters in St. Louis, MO (Penrose Street) or our Atlanta area branch in Marietta, GA (Cobb Industrial Drive). Local pickup can also be coordinated through our satellite offices in Phoenix, Orlando, and Des Moines.

What is the difference between an HCR pad and a standard Nomex heat felt pad?

While Nomex heat felt is a dense fabric cushion designed primarily to absorb thick garment obstructions like heavy seams, hoodies, buttons, and zippers, the HCR Green Rubber Pad is an ultra-dense, 1/8" thick solid silicone elastomer. The HCR pad is explicitly engineered for high thermal conduction, making it the perfect choice for transferring crisp artwork onto rigid substrates like sublimation tiles, award plaques, and photo slates.

What sizes and configurations can I order for my custom shop equipment?

To accommodate everything from pocket accents to massive industrial setups, this heat-conductive rubber pad is available in a diverse array of precut formats:

  • Standard Table Footprints: 6" x 8", 14" x 16", 16" x 20", and 20" x 25" (19.5" actual)
  • Industrial Large Formats: 32" x 42" and 44" x 64" configurations
  • Specialty Press Shapes: DK3 Single Mug, DK3D Double Mug, and DK7 Cap Bottom Heated Pad options
  • Bulk Rolls: Available by the 44"-wide continuous 36" yard roll for custom cutting

How do I install this rubber pad onto my heat press or mug attachment?

For flat tables, the pad can simply be positioned flat on the lower bed as a drop-on protective layout. However, if you are replacing the internal conductive rubber liner inside a Digital Knight DK3 Mug Press, you must clean the metal casing thoroughly and utilize a high-grade, high-temperature silicone adhesive to permanently secure the replacement strip into the curved housing.

Can I cut or trim the HCR green rubber material to fit custom fixtures?

Yes! If you are working with specialized custom jig matrices, nameplate fixtures, or custom heat brackets, you can order a standard size pad or a continuous roll and easily trim it down using a sharp utility knife or heavy-duty shop shears to match your exact workshop layout needs.

Can I finance my shop's new equipment and accessories through Lawson?

Yes! If you are bundling multiple HCR pads with a brand-new automatic direct-to-film system, a rolling universal floor stand, or a new twin-station shuttle press, commercial equipment financing options are available to protect your liquidity. You can apply quickly and securely via our dedicated Lawson financing page.

Are you dealing with uneven sublimation transfers, faded edges on rigid blanks, or weak ink bonding near seams and ridges? The Geo Knight Conductive Rubber HCR Pad is a commercial-grade, industrial-strength production accessory engineered by Geo. Knight & Co. Specifically designed to deliver absolute thermal and mechanical compliance when decorating challenging flat substrates, this USA-made 1/8" thick green silicone pad ensures that heat and pressure are distributed flawlessly into every corner of your design workspace.

The primary manufacturing advantage of the Geo Knight HCR Pad is its elite heat-transference chemistry paired with flexible cushioning. When customizing items like photo slates, ceramic tiles, glass, or aluminum sheet panels, standard hard platens leave microscopic air pockets across uneven surfaces, resulting in blurry spots or "ghosted" sublimations. This premium green conductive pad dynamically compresses under downward clamp pressure, filling surface gaps and pushing your transfer media into complete, uniform contact with the substrate. Highly optimized for sublimation on ceramics and metals, DTF transfers, cap pressing, and mug press replacements (like the DK3), it withstands punishing production temperatures while actively routing heat through the pad rather than blocking it out.

Available in a massive variety of precision-cut table footprints or by the continuous yard roll, this rugged workshop essential provides a seamless path to yielding crisp, retail-ready results on every run.
