Description

The Lawson Dyno-Vac Vacuum Frame is a commercial-grade, floor-standing exposure vacuum frame built for large-format screen printing shops, graphic printmakers, and high-volume textile operations. Designed for commercial screen rooms in St. Louis, MO, Atlanta, GA, and across North America, the Dyno-Vac makes exposing oversized screens fast and effortless. Driven by a powerful 1-horsepower instant-vac motor and a tear-resistant black rubber-flex blanket, it pulls an immediate, firm draw-down to guarantee complete film-to-emulsion contact without air pockets or light undercutting. Available in both Pivoting and Stationary Slant configurations across sizes up to 86" x 180", the Dyno-Vac easily disassembles to fit through narrow doorways and includes heavy-duty casters for smooth shop mobility.

The LWG Difference

  • Local Fast Pickup & Demo Hubs: Inspect machinery in person or schedule rapid equipment pickup at regional distribution facilities in St. Louis, MO or Atlanta / Marietta, GA.
  • 1-HP Instant-Vac Draw-Down: High-capacity vacuum motor pulls instant suction across large-format glass, ensuring razor-sharp stencil contact and zero trapped air pockets.
  • Ergonomic Pivoting & Slant Designs: Tilts horizontally for easy, ergonomic screen loading and swings vertically or at a fixed slant for seamless exposure positioning.
  • Direct USA Factory Support: Handcrafted in the USA with heavy-gauge American steel, factory-trained technical support, quick-ship domestic replacement parts, and flexible commercial financing options.

Features

  • Instant-Vac 1-HP Vacuum Engine: Rapidly evacuates air to hold film positives tight against large screen frames during point-light exposure.
  • Tear-Resistant Rubber-Flex Blanket: Heavy-duty black rubber blanket provides uniform suction and withstands continuous daily production use.
  • Narrow Doorway Disassembly: Modular frame design easily disassembles to navigate standard shop doorways, narrow hallways, and darkroom entryways.
  • Heavy-Duty Lockable Casters: Industrial-grade rolling casters provide smooth 360-degree mobility and firm locking stability during loading.
  • Versatile Model Configurations: Choose between the Pivoting Model #5070 (tilts horizontally and vertically) or the Stationary Slant Model #8096.

Comparison Table

Feature | Lawson Dyno-Vac Vacuum Frame | Standard Tabletop or Small-Format Vacuum Frames
Screen Capacity | Accommodates massive screen printing frames up to 86" x 180" for large graphics | Restricted to small manual or automatic press screens (typically under 25" x 36")
Suction Speed & Contact | 1-HP high-draw motor pulls instant vacuum across large surfaces with zero edge delay | Weak pumps create slow draw-down delays and leave air pockets on large glass areas
Loading Ergonomics | Tilts horizontally for comfortable waist-height loading before swiveling to expose | Vertical fixed frames or flat tables force awkward lifting and manual screen positioning
Doorway Transport | Disassembles easily into modular pieces to pass through standard doorways | Rigid welded frames are difficult to move into basement shops or tight darkrooms

Questions & Answers

Q: Will the Lawson Dyno-Vac fit through a standard door frame?
A: Yes. Even though the Dyno-Vac Vacuum Frame holds massive screen sizes, the entire frame structure disassembles easily to navigate narrow doorways, tight hallways, and standard darkroom entrances.

Q: What is the difference between the Pivoting Model and the Slant Model?
A: The Pivoting Model (#5070) tilts flat horizontally for comfortable waist-height film loading and screen setup, then pivots vertically for exposure. The Slant Model (#8096) features a fixed angled slant design for space-saving vertical loading and exposure.

Q: Does the Dyno-Vac include a light source, or is it a standalone frame?
A: The Dyno-Vac is a freestanding vacuum frame system. It is designed to be paired with overhead or point-light exposure sources such as the Olite Metal Halide Exposure Lamps.

Q: Where can I see a live demo or schedule regional pickup for the Dyno-Vac Vacuum Frame?
A: You can schedule a demonstration or arrange regional equipment pickup at Lawson Workhorse Group centers in St. Louis, MO or Marietta, GA.
