Description

The DTF Station Lumen S24F is a specialized 24-inch (60 cm) emboss UV DTF printer designed to produce raised, textured transfers that remain flexible after curing. Unlike traditional UV printing—which uses rigid inks that crack when bent—the Lumen S24F utilizes specially formulated flexible UV inks paired with varnish building technology. This allows garment decorators and promotional product shops to create dimensional, 3D emblem patches and transfers that stretch and move with soft goods like apparel, leather, outerwear, and headwear, as well as adhere seamlessly to rigid surfaces.

The LWG Difference

Standard UV DTF transfer systems are engineered strictly for hard, flat surfaces, while conventional textile transfers remain entirely flat. The Lumen S24F bridges this gap through three distinct operational capabilities:

  1. Flexible Ink Formulations for Soft Goods: Cured ink builds height and texture without losing elasticity, preventing cracking or peeling when applied to flexible fabrics, caps, and leather goods.
  2. In-House Dimensional Patch Production: Eliminates the need to outsource custom 3D patches, silicone-style badges, or embroidered emblems, bringing high-margin specialty branding directly into your production workflow.
  3. Multi-Layer Varnish Stacking: Precise multi-pass varnish deposition builds noticeable physical depth and gloss effects inline, offering tactile 3D finishes on a wide variety of substrates.

Features

  • Flexible UV Ink System: Specially engineered UV ink set (CMYK + White + Varnish) designed to flex and stretch without fracturing or delaminating from soft goods.
  • 24-Inch Production Width: 60 cm roll-to-roll printing capacity allows high-density ganging of 3D emblems, logos, and custom patch designs.
  • Industrial Dual Printhead Engine: Powered by a combination of Epson i1600-U1 and Epson i3200-U1HD printheads for high-resolution ink and varnish placement.
  • Integrated LED-UV Curing: Instant inline UV curing cures white, color, and high-gloss varnish layers instantly during the print process.
  • Automatic Roll-to-Roll Laminating: Laminates AB UV transfer film automatically inline, producing press-ready peel-and-stick dimensional transfers.

Questions & Answers

Can the Lumen S24F prints be applied directly to apparel?

Yes. The DTF Station Lumen S24F uses specialized flexible UV ink designed to move and stretch with textiles. This enables you to create flexible, raised 3D patches for jackets, hats, hoodies, and leather products without the print cracking when bent.

What is the difference between standard UV DTF and Emboss UV DTF?

Standard UV DTF produces mostly flat or slightly raised stickers intended for hard, rigid surfaces like tumblers or mugs. Emboss UV DTF uses multiple layers of varnish to build up noticeable 3D height and texture, while using flexible inks that allow the transfer to adhere to soft goods.

Does the Lumen S24F require a heat press?

No. The Lumen S24F produces cold-transfer, peel-and-stick 3D emblems and decals that adhere via strong pressure-sensitive adhesive built into the UV DTF transfer film.
