Questions & Answers

Where can I buy or pick up the Geo. Knight DC16AP Automatic Combo Press locally?
You can securely order online and choose convenient local pickup at either the Lawson Screen & Digital Products headquarters in St. Louis, MO, or our Atlanta branch in Marietta, GA. Pickup coordination can also be arranged through satellite technical support centers in Phoenix, Orlando, and Des Moines.

Does the Geo. Knight DC16AP require an air compressor?
Yes. To deliver its push-button automatic clamping action and up to 800 lbs of pressing force, the DC16AP requires an external air compressor line (delivering 80–100 PSI).

What optional attachments are compatible with the DC16AP?
The DC16AP supports the full lineup of Geo. Knight Digital Combo attachments, including interchangeable cap/hat tables, small-diameter sleeve tables, mug attachments, shoe tables, and circular plate attachments.

What is the advantage of SuperCoil-Microwinding™ heating technology?
SuperCoil-Microwinding™ uses tightly wound heating elements embedded throughout the entire 3/4" thick heater block. This guarantees edge-to-edge heat uniformity, eliminating cold spots that cause transfer failures or under-cured Direct-to-Film (DTF) prints.

Can I press thick rigid items like wood or acrylic on this press?
Yes! The DC16AP is specifically engineered with an adjustable height clearance that accommodates materials up to 2" thick, making it ideal for pressing heavy plaques, thick woods, ceramic tiles, and metal sheets.

Description

Want to eliminate worker fatigue and unlock high-speed production without sacrificing the versatile, multi-purpose capabilities of a combo press? The Geo. Knight DC16AP Automatic Digital Combo Swing-Away Press (Model DC16AP) is a heavy-duty, commercial-grade masterpiece engineered by Geo. Knight & Co. to bring smooth, pneumatic automation to your workshop. Featuring a standard 14" x 16" heat platen, this USA-made machine completely replaces manual levers with an effortless air-operated drive system, clamping down with absolute precision at the simple push of a button.

The core commercial advantage of the Digital Combo DC16AP is its elite combination of automated muscle and tool-free versatility. Capable of generating up to 800 lbs of total applied force, it easily handles thick, rigid substrates up to 2" thick that crush or stall lighter machines. It is built with an ultra-thick 3/4" Teflon-coated platen utilizing patented SuperCoil-Microwinding™ heater technology, ensuring completely uniform heat distribution with zero cold spots. This makes it highly optimized for running large batches of DTF transfers, sublimation prints, heat transfer vinyl (HTV), screen printed transfers, and laser toner transfers.

Equipped with a raised pedestal base for seamless garment draping and an advanced backlit controller that stores 70 programmable presets, this 120V powerhouse takes the physical labor out of high-volume customization while giving your shop a true retail-ready finish every time.
