Questions & Answers

What is Fluorescent Green 158 best used for?
Flo Green 158 is best for high‑visibility fluorescent green designs on sportswear, spirit wear, safety/event shirts, and fashion prints where you want a strong neon green pop on modern blends.

Is Flo Green 158 low‑bleed and low‑cure?
Yes. Fluorescent Green 158 is a Low‑Bleed/Low‑Cure Dynamic Ink, formulated to cure around 270–280°F at the ink film, which helps minimize dye migration on polyester, 50/50s, and other “bad bleeder” garments.

What kind of finish and opacity does it have?
Flo Green 158 has a semi‑gloss finish with opaque opacity, giving strong coverage and a vivid fluorescent look while still maintaining a smooth, printable hand.

Which fabrics can I print with Flo Green Dynamic Ink?
Dynamic Low‑Bleed inks like Fluorescent Green 158 are designed for cotton, 50/50, tri‑blends, and 100% polyester, making them suitable for mixed‑fabric print shops and performance apparel.

Do I need a white underbase on dark garments?
On dark garments, you’ll get the brightest neon effect by printing Flo Green over a clean, opaque white underbase. On light or white garments, it can often be printed directly for a softer‑hand fluorescent look.

What flash and cure settings work well with Flo Green?
Lawson’s Dynamic inks typically flash around 220°F for about 3–5 seconds, then cure at 270–280°F at the ink film, verified with a donut probe or temperature strips to ensure full cure and bleed resistance.

What mesh counts are recommended for Fluorescent Green 158?
For bold coverage and standard spot‑color work, printers often use 110–156 mesh, while 196–305 mesh is recommended for finer detail and softer‑hand prints, especially when printing over a white underbase.

Is Flo Green 158 press‑ready, or do I need additives?
Fluorescent Green 158 is ready for use straight from the bucket, with a smooth, creamy body, so additives are usually unnecessary. If you adjust with curable reducer or soft‑hand base, do it in small test batches and always re‑verify cure and color strength.

What kind of print mileage can I expect?
Lawson notes excellent mileage, in the range of roughly 800–1,750 square feet per gallon, depending on mesh count, print surface, and film thickness, so it performs well on both small runs and production jobs.

Is Fluorescent Green Dynamic Ink compliant for kids’ and retail programs?
Dynamic inks are non‑phthalate and lead‑free, formulated as premium plastisols for modern apparel standards, so when properly cured, Flo Green 158 is appropriate for children’s garments and retail work.

Fluorescent Green 158 Low‑Bleed Dynamic Plastisol Ink is a bright, high‑impact fluorescent green plastisol designed for bold prints on today’s mixed‑fabric garments. It’s a Low‑Bleed/Low‑Cure Dynamic Ink with a semi‑gloss finish, opaque opacity, and a creamy, press‑ready body straight from the bucket.

This Flo Green DI‑158 LB cures at about 270–280°F at the ink film, which helps control dye migration on polyester, 50/50s, and other “bad bleeder” fabrics while also reducing the risk of scorching heat‑sensitive garments. It flashes quickly around 220°F for 3–5 seconds, so you can run print‑flash‑print or wet‑on‑wet depending on the job and still keep production moving.

Dynamic Fluorescent Green offers excellent opacity and bleed resistance, making it a strong choice for athletic wear, spirit wear, safety and event shirts, and fashion designs where you want a vivid neon green that holds up on poly and blends. Lawson notes that mileage is excellent—roughly 800–1,750 sq. ft. per gallon, depending on mesh and coverage—so it performs well in both short‑run and production environments.

Like the rest of the Dynamic Series, Flo Green 158 is non‑phthalate and lead‑free, with a soft hand feel and smooth, semi‑gloss print surface that works on both manual and automatic presses. It’s compatible with all common direct emulsions and capillary films, and because Dynamic colors intermix easily, you can blend Fluorescent Green with other fluorescents and standard Dynamic colors to build custom neon lime and chartreuse tones.

For softer‑hand prints or fine detail, Lawson suggests using higher meshes—196 to 305 monofilament—while still maintaining strong fluorescent color, especially when printing over a white underbase on dark garments. Stored at room temperature and away from direct sunlight, Fluorescent Green 158 maintains excellent shelf life and consistency, making it a reliable flo‑green anchor in your Dynamic ink range.
