Questions & Answers

What is Fluorescent Light Orange Dynamic Ink best used for?
Flo Light Orange DI‑162 is ideal for high‑visibility, fluorescent light‑orange spot colors on event shirts, spirit wear, fashion prints, and youth apparel where you want a lighter neon orange that really pops.

Is Flo Light Orange DI‑162 low‑bleed and low‑cure?
Yes. It’s listed as a Low‑Bleed Dynamic Ink that is smooth and creamy out of the bucket and works on cotton, 50/50, tri‑blends, and 100% polyester, using the same low‑cure Dynamic chemistry (around 270–280°F) to help control dye migration.

Is Flo Light Orange a true fluorescent?
Yes. Fluorescent Light Orange DI‑162 is part of Lawson’s Standard Fluorescent Low‑Cure Dynamic line, formulated as a fluorescent (DayGlo‑style) color for maximum brightness rather than a standard opaque orange.

What fabrics can I print with Flo Light Orange?
Dynamic Low‑Bleed inks like DI‑162 are designed to work on cotton, 50/50, tri‑blends, and 100% polyester, which makes them suitable for sports, event, and athleisure garments where dye migration is often an issue.

Do I need a white underbase on dark garments?
On dark garments, you should print Flo Light Orange over a smooth, opaque white underbase to get the brightest fluorescent effect and consistent color, just as recommended for other fluorescent and neon plastisols.

What mesh counts work well with Flo Light Orange Dynamic Ink?
For bold coverage on dark garments or over an underbase, many printers use 110–156 mesh, and step up to 156–230 mesh on light garments or when they want a softer hand while still retaining strong fluorescent color.

Do I need to add reducer or other additives?
No. Low‑Bleed Dynamic inks are smooth and creamy right out of the bucket and are formulated to be press‑ready. If you need minor flow or hand adjustments, add small amounts of curable reducer or soft‑hand additive only in test batches and always confirm cure and color intensity.

Can I mix Fluorescent Light Orange with other Dynamic colors?
Yes. Dynamic inks are designed to intermix easily, so you can blend Flo Light Orange with Fluorescent Orange DI‑154, yellows, or whites to create custom neon peach and coral tones, understanding that adding non‑fluorescent inks or too much white will reduce fluorescent strength.

Is Flo Light Orange DI‑162 compliant for kids’ and retail garments?
Dynamic plastisol inks are non‑phthalate and lead‑free and are formulated to meet modern apparel‑safety expectations when properly cured, making Fluorescent Light Orange appropriate for children’s apparel and retail programs.

Does Flo Light Orange work with standard emulsions and capillary films?
Yes. Like other Dynamic inks, Fluorescent Light Orange is compatible with all common direct emulsions and capillary films, so you can use your existing coating, exposure, and reclaiming workflow.

Where can I get help dialing in Flo Light Orange Dynamic Ink?
Lawson’s support teams in St. Louis, Missouri and Marietta (Atlanta), Georgia can help you choose mesh counts, squeegees, underbases, flash parameters, and low‑cure dryer settings tailored to Flo Light Orange DI‑162 and your specific press setup.

Fluorescent Light Orange (Flo Light Orange) Dynamic Plastisol Ink DI‑162 is a bright, fluorescent light orange ink designed to deliver high‑visibility prints on t‑shirts, hoodies, and athletic or event apparel. As a Low‑Bleed Dynamic Ink, it’s smooth and creamy right out of the bucket and works great on cotton, 50/50, tri‑blends, and 100% polyester shirts.

This low‑cure fluorescent light orange plastisol is part of Lawson’s standard fluorescent Dynamic line, formulated to cure at around 270–280°F at the ink film to help reduce dye migration and keep heat off sensitive synthetic fabrics. Like other Dynamic inks, it is press‑ready, fast‑flashing, and designed to give vibrant, eye‑catching color while maintaining a soft, printable body on both manual and automatic presses.

Flo Light Orange DI‑162 LB is ideal for high‑visibility and fashion work: festival and event shirts, spirit wear, safety or promo prints, and youth apparel where you want a lighter, more pastel‑leaning fluorescent orange instead of a deep standard orange. It prints well on light garments directly and on darker garments when used over a bright white underbase to maximize brightness, opacity, and consistency.

Because Dynamic inks intermix easily, Fluorescent Light Orange can be blended with Fluorescent Orange DI‑154, yellows, and whites in the Dynamic series to build custom neon peach, coral, and soft‑flo oranges while still taking advantage of low‑cure, low‑bleed performance. All Dynamic inks are non‑phthalate and lead‑free, with a semi‑gloss finish, good elongation, and strong shelf life, making Flo Light Orange DI‑162 suitable for retail, contract, and children’s apparel programs.

When you order Fluorescent Light Orange Dynamic Ink from Lawson, you get fast U.S. shipping and can rely on Lawson’s support teams in St. Louis, Missouri and Marietta, Georgia to help you dial in mesh counts, underbases, and low‑cure dryer profiles so your flo‑orange prints stay bright and consistent from sample through production
