Questions & Answers

What is Icon Poly White Faster Fusion Plastisol Ink designed for?
Icon Poly White Faster Fusion is a low‑cure white plastisol ink specifically engineered for printing on 100% polyester and high‑poly blends, where bleed resistance and opacity are critical.

How does Poly White differ from Cotton White?
Poly White is optimized for polyester and bleed‑prone fabrics, with stronger dye‑blocking performance and low‑cure temperatures, while Cotton White is tuned for 100% cotton and cotton‑rich blends. Many shops use both and choose based on garment content.

What cure temperature does Icon Poly White require?
Icon Poly White Faster Fusion is a low‑cure plastisol ink that typically reaches full cure around 275–280°F, helping reduce dye migration and avoid overheating polyester garments. Always confirm cure with a wash test or temperature probe.

Which mesh counts are recommended for Poly White?
Most printers use 110–160 mesh for strong coverage on dark polyester, and may go to higher mesh when they want a softer feel or thinner deposit. Test prints are recommended to fine‑tune your mesh, squeegee, and off‑contact for specific garments.

Can I use Icon Poly White as an underbase and a highlight white?
Yes. Icon Poly White can be used as both an underbase white and a stand‑alone highlight or top white on polyester and poly‑blend garments, giving you flexibility in multicolor designs.

Where can I get help dialing in Poly White settings for my shop?
Lawson offers technical support from our locations in St. Louis, Missouri and Marietta (Atlanta), Georgia, and can help you choose mesh counts, flash times, and dryer settings for Icon Poly White on your garments and presses.

Icon Poly White Faster Fusion Plastisol Ink is a premium low‑cure poly white formulated for printing on 100% polyester and high‑poly blends where dye migration and bleeding are a concern. It delivers exceptional bleed protection and some of the highest opacity in its class, making it ideal for athletic jerseys, team uniforms, performance wear, and other synthetic garments.

This low‑cure plastisol ink typically cures around 275–280°F, helping prevent fabric scorching and dramatically reducing dye migration compared to standard 320°F whites. Icon Poly White flashes quickly, resists build‑up on the back of the screen, and maintains a creamy, low‑viscosity texture for easy printing on both manual and automatic presses.

Use Icon Poly White with 110–160 mesh counts for excellent coverage on dark polyester garments, or higher mesh when you need a softer hand and thinner ink deposits. It can be printed as an underbase or stand‑alone white and is compatible with common direct emulsions and capillary films, cleaning up easily with Lawson press washes and ink degradants after production.

When you choose Icon Faster Fusion poly white from Lawson, you get fast shipping across the United States and convenient local pickup in St. Louis, Missouri and Marietta, Georgia. Our ink specialists can help you decide when to use poly white vs. cotton white, set proper flash and cure temperatures, and select the right mesh counts for your polyester printing work.
